After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tallulah Falls, George Walton Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Athens Christian Eagles 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 back in March.

George Walton Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those eight games. As for Athens Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
