Leading Torres to victory were Sabrina Cerrillo and Nevaeh Chavez. Cerrillo scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Chavez scored 19 points along with five steals. Cerrillo hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. J'Lynn Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Torres and bumps their season record up to 17-10. As for Sanger West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-19.
Torres will be playing at home against Madera South at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sanger West, they will head out on the road to challenge Sunnyside at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sunnyside is on a four-game streak of home losses, Sanger West a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
