Basketball Game Preview: Davis Sr. Blue Devils vs. Oak Ridge Trojans

The Davis Sr. Blue Devils will take on the Oak Ridge Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Davis Sr. is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Folsom on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Davis Sr. was dealt a 94-20 defeat at the hands of Folsom. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge didn't have too much trouble with Rocklin on Wednesday as they won 56-42. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Thunder are ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Davis Sr.'s loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Oak Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Davis Sr. suffered a grim 53-27 defeat to Oak Ridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Thankfully for Davis Sr., Teagan Brown (who went 11 for 16 on her way to 24 points in addition to six steals and five boards) won't be suiting up this time.
