Preview: Waterford Wildcats vs. Delhi Hawks
Waterford is 10-0 against Delhi since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Waterford Wildcats will be playing at home against the Delhi Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Waterford will be strutting in after a win while Delhi will be coming in after a loss.
Waterford posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Denair and snuck past 38-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Waterford.
Waterford's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karina De La Torre, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Thalia Reyes was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Delhi, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were dealt a 50-7 loss at the hands of Le Grand on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Delhi has suffered yet this season.
Waterford's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Delhi, they bumped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Waterford against Delhi in their previous matchup on January 2nd as the squad secured a 42-12 victory. Does Waterford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Delhi turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
