Baseball Recap: Marissa/Coulterville Comes Up Short

Marissa/Coulterville extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-4. They lost 14-1 to the Steeleville Warriors. The Meteors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for Steeleville, the win got them back to even at 7-7. That 13-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Steeleville's part, Colin Vallett was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Vallett has posted since back in April of 2025. Oliver Kiehna was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Steeleville beat Marissa/Coulterville by a score of 13-0 on Thursday.
