Baseball Recap: North Star Comes Up Short

Shanksville Stonycreek hit North Star with a five-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars came up short against the Vikings, falling 8-0. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 13-8.

North Star now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Shanksville Stonycreek, they moved to 7-10 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

North Star didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 loss against Conemaugh Township on the 14th. Shanksville Stonycreek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
