Basketball Game Preview: Northumberland Christian Warriors vs. Blair County Christian Bobcats

The Northumberland Christian Warriors will take on the Blair County Christian Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Northumberland Christian came up short against Millville on Thursday, falling 50-28.

Meanwhile, Blair County Christian was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 32-31 to Bedford County CIA. While the Bobcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Agents 14-7 in the first quarter.

Northumberland Christian will need to focus on slowing down Gabi Dull, one of several Blair County Christian players who made an impact when they last played. She posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Dull has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Kadee Spinazzola was another key player, putting up nine points.

Even though they lost, Blair County Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Blair County Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Northumberland Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
