Basketball Recap: Brownell Talbot Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

Brownell Talbot had won two straight games and Abbi Gibbs did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Brownell Talbot Raiders strolled past the Cedar Bluffs Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 48-31 thanks in part to Gibbs, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 26 games she's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Avery Nichols, who posted four points in addition to nine steals and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Brownell Talbot is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Cedar Bluffs, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brownell Talbot will head out to square off against Boys Town at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cedar Bluffs has already played their next contest (against Omaha Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
