Fox's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Oakville Tigers by a score of 6-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Avery McKinnon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maddie Baldridge, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Fox's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Oakville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4-1.

Looking ahead, Fox will welcome DeSoto at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oakville, they will head out to face off against Hillsboro at 12:45 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
