Baseball Recap: Brunswick Christian Academy Eagles vs. First Christian Lions

Brunswick Christian Academy had lost 12 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it 13. They lost 27-5 to the First Christian Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-6 on Friday.

As for First Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.

For First Christian's part, Micah Norman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Norman has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Mason Williams was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
