Football Game Preview: Palo Duro Dons vs. Anna Coyotes

Two dominant signal callers in Julian Reese II and Ziondre Williams are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Palo Duro Dons will take on the Anna Coyotes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Palo Duro will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Palo Duro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hanks 56-7. Considering the Dons have won eight matchups by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kyron Brown had a dynamite game, picking up 112 receiving yards and three TDs. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Amariyea James, who gained 90 total yards and a touchdown.

Palo Duro didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Hanks to a completion percentage of just 43.5%. The Dons weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 79.3%.

Palo Duro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Keimaure Rayford and Noah Fargoza.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Anna prevailed. They walked away with a 35-25 victory over Mansfield Timberview on Friday.

Anna's win came from a few key players Palo Duro will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ace Traylor, who rushed for 134 yards on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Cor'Mond Houston, who picked up 48 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Anna's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. Kaiden Banks was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up four sacks himself. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Jaden Parker was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Palo Duro's record is now 10-1. As for Anna, their record now sits at 9-2.
