Soccer Recap: Southeast Polk Comes Up Short

Southeast Polk lost against Dowling Catholic back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maroons. While losing is never fun, Southeast Polk can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Dowling Catholic are ranked fifth).

Southeast Polk now has a losing record of 7-8-6. As for Dowling Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Southeast Polk has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Ankeny Centennial on the 16th. Dowling Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
