Basketball Recap: Paradise Adventist Academy Comes Up Short

Paradise Adventist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Plumas Charter Warriors at home by a 46-29 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 48-30 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Plumas Charter found their leader in sophomore Lucy Joesph, who posted 15 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Winters, who put up eight points and three steals.

Paradise Adventist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Plumas Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Paradise Adventist Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Elk Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plumas Charter, they will take on Chester in a tournament on Thursday. Plumas Charter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
