Beloit Memorial's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They skirted past the Wilmot Panthers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since April 20th.

Ayden Marshall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Callen Espinoza was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Beloit Memorial's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Wilmot, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-15.

Beloit Memorial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
