Softball Recap: Platteview Takes a Loss

Platteview came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wahoo Warriors, falling 8-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Platteview has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season. As for Wahoo, they moved to 16-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Platteview will challenge Mercy at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Monarchs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.87 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wahoo, they will venture away from home to challenge Norris at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
