Baseball Recap: Onalaska Takes a Loss

Onalaska came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Chippewa Falls Cardinals, falling 7-1.

Onalaska saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradyn DeLong, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Onalaska has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Chippewa Falls, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Onalaska will welcome Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Hilltoppers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chippewa Falls, they will head out on the road to square off against Menomonie at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
