Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wilcox County walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Washington-Wilkes Tigers on Monday, sneaking past 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.

Wilcox County's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maeson Owens, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Wilcox County's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Washington-Wilkes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

As of now, neither Wilcox County nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
