Cherokee Bluff came out on top against East Hall on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Bears blew past the Vikings 15-2. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Lillie Diehl was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Claire Carlson was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Cherokee Bluff's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for East Hall, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Coming up, Cherokee Bluff will be playing at home against West Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Hall, they will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
