Basketball Recap: Tylertown Takes a Loss

Tylertown lost against Harrison Central back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chiefs lost 57-35 to the Red Rebels. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Harrison Central was led to victory by Jasen Pace and Jonathan Espinoza. Pace dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards, while Espinoza shot 42% from the field en route to 14 points and four steals. Those 14 rebounds gave Pace a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ke'Adrian Brown, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 12 points and five boards.

Tylertown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Harrison Central, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Tylertown will venture away from home to challenge Provine at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Harrison Central, they will head out to square off against Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Rebels' defense better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 56 points per game this season.
