Dixon's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 win over the Rio Linda Knights. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 52-33 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2025.

Rio Linda lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was LaRay Mitchell, who went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points along with seven assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Kyrri Mitchell, who posted 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Dixon now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Rio Linda, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dixon is set to take on their familiar foe Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rio Linda will challenge rival Natomas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
