Football Recap: Beloit Piles Up the Points Against Norton

The matchup between Beloit and Norton on Friday hardly resembled the 14-7 effort from their previous meeting. The Trojans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bluejays 52-22. With the Trojans ahead 30-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beloit to victory, but perhaps none more so than Truitt King, who threw for 321 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per attempt. The Trojans' leading receiver Jacob Hand was King's top target yet again, picking up 150 receiving yards and three TDs.

Despite the loss, Norton still got an impressive performance from Ashton Kats, who rushed for 65 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 148 yards and one touchdown.

The win snapped Beloit's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. As for Norton, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Beloit will host Minneapolis on Friday. As for Norton, they will venture away from home to take on Russell on Friday. The Broncos' defense has only allowed 11.4 points per game this season, so the Bluejays' offense will have their work cut out for them.
