Marshalltown waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Des Moines North Polar Bears. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Marshalltown's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Des Moines North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Marshalltown beat the Polar Bears by a score of 9-0 later that day.
