Basketball Game Preview: Warren County Eagles vs. Louisburg Warriors + How To Watch

The Warren County Eagles will face off against the Louisburg Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Louisburg is headed out to face a Eagles squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Warren County took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vance Charter last Thursday.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nazir Shaw, who posted 21 points along with six assists and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jeremiahe Kearney, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Louisburg had just enough and edged out Oxford Prep 42-40 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Griffins: they've now won six in a row.

Louisburg's win came from a few key players Warren County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Micheal McLean, who went 8-for-18 en route to 18 points in addition to six boards and three steals. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Jayden Blacknall was another key player, shooting 63% from the field on his way to 11 points.

Louisburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.

Warren County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Louisburg in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-35 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
