Baseball Recap: Sherwood Christian Academy Comes Up Short

The Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles came up short against the Monroe Golden Tornadoes on Tuesday, falling 10-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aaron Mackey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that he snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Qwinton Murray, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Sherwood Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Monroe, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.

While Sherwood Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
