Basketball Recap: Wasco's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Wasco unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 37-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the AGBU Titans.

Despite the loss, Wasco saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Vivian Chavez posted nine points and seven boards. Chavez is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Wasco's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for AGBU, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Wasco wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 32-27 loss against Justin Garza on the 28th. As for AGBU, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Holy Martyrs Armenian at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
