Soccer Recap: Making Waves Academy Comes Up Short

Making Waves Academy lost against Head-Royce back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Making Waves Academy Marlins lost 13-0 to the Head-Royce Jayhawks. While losing is never fun, the Marlins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1068th, while the Jayhawks are ranked 254th).

Making Waves Academy is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9-1. As for Head-Royce, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-0-1.

Making Waves Academy will venture away from home to face off against The Bay School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bay School's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Head-Royce, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against St. Joseph Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m.
