Soccer Game Preview: Solon vs. Marion

Solon is 0-8 against Marion since April of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Spartans will head out to take on Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Solon's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Solon didn't have quite enough to beat Grinnell and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Marion made sure to put some goals up on the board against West Delaware on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Hawks. Marion haven't had any issues with West Delaware recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Marion's win bumped their record up to 9-2-8. As for Solon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Solon couldn't quite get it done against Marion when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
