Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nueva Esperanza). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-39 victory over the Thomas A. Edison Owls on Friday. This was payback for Nueva Esperanza, who suffered a 62-17 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Nueva Esperanza's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Thomas A. Edison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nueva Esperanza will square off against Philadelphia Military Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Philadelphia Military Academy's defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Nueva Esperanza's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Thomas A. Edison, they will challenge Samuel Fels at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Samuel Fels will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Thomas A. Edison surely won't give up without a fight.
