Basketball Recap: Gar-Field Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gar-Field). They walked away with an 80-68 victory over the Battlefield Bobcats on Monday. The Red Wolves' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Gar-Field got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was JJ Bell out in front who went 12-for-21 to rack up 31 points along with eight boards and three steals. The contest was Bell's fourth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Murrell, who posted 18 points.

Despite the defeat, Battlefield had strong showings from Yasin Hammad, who shot 50% from the field en route to 21 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, and Cooper Cramp, who made all 6 shots he took for 17 points and seven boards. With that strong performance, Hammad is now averaging an impressive 16.3 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Hostutler, who earned nine points and seven rebounds.

Gar-Field's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Battlefield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Gar-Field wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-31 victory against James Monroe on the 9th. As for Battlefield, they have also already played their next game, a 74-72 win against Osbourn Park on the 9th.
