Softball Recap: Cashion Has No Trouble Against Hennessey

Cashion had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Hennessey on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Eagles. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Cashion has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hennessey, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Cashion will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Okarche at 6:00 p.m. on September 15. As for Hennessey, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Blackwell on the 28th.
