Basketball Recap: New Designs University Park Comes Up Short

New Designs University Park lost against University Prep Value back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The New Designs University Park Cardinals came up short against the University Prep Value Wolves, falling 44-19. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1004th, while the Wolves are ranked 341st).

New Designs University Park is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6. As for University Prep Value, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0.

New Designs University Park won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Brio College Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. New Designs University Park's defense has only allowed 25.1 points per game this season, so Brio College Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for University Prep Value, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Gertz-Ressler at 4:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
