It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but York ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Glenbard West Hilltoppers, sneaking past 1-0. Quinn Stratton had the honor of scoring the game-winner for York.

York's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-7-1. As for Glenbard West, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4-1.

Looking ahead, York will venture away from home to square off against Hinsdale Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Glenbard West, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Wheaton North on the 2nd.
