Football Recap: Circle Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Circle fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Fort Scott on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 20-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Thunderbirds just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Cole Wilbur threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns. Jason Smith was his top target, picking up 135 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Circle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Fort Scott, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Circle will head out on the road to face off against Augusta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Scott, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Field Kindley at 7:00 p.m. The Tigers will be up against the Golden Tornado's rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
