Softball Recap: Boone Central Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Boone Central was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against the O'Neill Eagles, falling 10-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Boone Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joslyn Schrad, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Braylee Young was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Boone Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for O'Neill, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Boone Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-8 victory against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on the 11th. As for O'Neill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Centura on the 11th.
