Chartiers Valley came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-33 win over the Moon Area Tigers. The Colts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Moon Area lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Maria Depner, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaedin Griggs, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Chartiers Valley's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Moon Area, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Chartiers Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-41 defeat against Oakland Catholic on the 21st. As for Moon Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-56 win against Butler on the 27th.
