Softball Recap: Gatewood Wins Going Away Against Central Fellowship Christian Academy

While Gatewood didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers on Tuesday as they made off with a 15-5 win. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

Lily Arthur was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. McKenna Riser was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Gatewood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Gatewood's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Gatewood didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-5 loss against Johnson County on the 26th. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Stratford Academy on the 21st.
