Basketball Recap: Mira Loma Comes Up Short

Mira Loma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 47-23 to the Wheatland Pirates.

Leading Wheatland to victory were Reagan Clancy and Kimiko Cervantes. Clancy posted 14 points in addition to six boards and five steals, while Cervantes earned 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Clancy has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Isla Gasper also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Mira Loma's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Wheatland, they moved to 1-12 with that win, which also ended their 12-game losing streak.

Mira Loma has already played their next game (against Marysville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wheatland has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Lincoln.
