Basketball Recap: Serra Find Success

Serra saw some tournament action on Saturday. They secured a 52-47 W over the Venice Gondoliers.

Jadah Foster had an outrageously good game as she went 7 for 14 on her way to 26 points and four steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariyah Lewis, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds.

Serra's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Venice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Serra and Chaparral will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chaparral will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Serra surely won't give up without a fight. As for Venice, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Anthony at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. St. Anthony is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season.
