Softball Recap: Springville Comes Up Short

Springville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marquette Defenders. The Orioles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Defenders from their previous meeting back in June of 2024.

Springville now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Marquette, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Defenders beat Springville by a score of 7-1 later that day.
