Softball Recap: Elk City Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Elk City proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Leedey Bison. The Elks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bison, too.

Elk City's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Leedey, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.
