Baseball Recap: Eastern Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Eastern proved they can win big on Monday (they won by nine) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Rossville Hornets 7-5. The win was familiar territory for the Comets, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Alister Shrock was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cash Boles, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Rossville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.

Eastern has already played their next contest, a 5-0 loss against Clinton Prairie on the 21st. As for Rossville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-4 win against Delphi Community on the 21st.
