Softball Recap: Lanier Comes Up Short

Lanier lost a heartbreaker to Roswell when they met back in October of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Longhorns lost 11-1 to the Hornets. The Longhorns have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Peyton Crouse was cooking despite her team's loss, earning one run and three stolen bases.

Lanier's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Roswell, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Lanier will face off against Peachtree Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Roswell, they will host King's Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 2.9, the Tigers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
