Football Game Preview: Tucker County Mountain Lions vs. Southern Rams + How To Watch

The Tucker County Mountain Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Southern Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Tucker County came up short against Moorefield and fell 40-28.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Reid Kisamore, who picked up 134 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 52 yards. Another passer making a difference was Samuel Marks, who threw for 254 yards and three TDs.

Meanwhile, Southern fell victim to Allegany and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a blow against the Campers, falling 42-0. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Campers: they've now lost six in a row.

Tucker County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Southern, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Tucker County against Southern in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-12 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountain Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
