Preview: West Park vs. Roseville
The West Park Panthers will take on the Roseville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, West Park rose to the challenge on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 4-0 shutout. Considering West Park has won eight matches by more than three goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
They hit Wood with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Hayley Doughty (2),
Bella Madigan, and
Keira Taylor.
Meanwhile, Roseville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Sierra on Saturday.
West Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-3 record this season. As for Roseville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-4.
