Woodrow Wilson is 0-10 against Long Beach Poly since February of 2020 but things could change on Monday. The Woodrow Wilson Bruins will be playing at home against the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Woodrow Wilson strolled past Millikan with points to spare, taking the game 41-22. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

Meanwhile, Long Beach Poly won against Lakewood on Friday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Long Beach Poly took their contest with ease, bagging a 56-18 win over King/Drew. The Jackrabbits have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.

Long Beach Poly's win came from a few key players Woodrow Wilson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Joy Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. Helena Vu was another key player, putting up ten points and six assists.

Long Beach Poly smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 43 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
