Softball Recap: Lovett Turns Things Around After Road Loss + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Lovett, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors with a sharp 21-1 victory on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kaelyn Rolla looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Riley Gallagher was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Audrey Wilson was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Lovett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as KIPP Atlanta Collegiate only posted an OBP of .077.

Lovett's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lovett will square off against Westminster at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, they will face off against Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
