Soccer Recap: Girard Takes a Loss

Girard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Range Raiders. Girard were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced South Range earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Girard's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for South Range, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7.

Coming up, Girard will host Crestwood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Range, they are taking a road trip to challenge McKinley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Range will be up against McKinley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.08 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
