If Maize South was feeling good fresh off their 56-21 takedown of Arkansas City last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mavericks were dealt a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Maize Eagles on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Mavericks were not able to get on the board.

Brayden Myovela produced another solid effort rushing for 106 yards and three TDs on only six carries, while also throwing for 208 yards and one touchdown on only 17 passes for Maize. Another player making a difference was Pearce George, who gained 115 total yards and three touchdowns.

Maize South's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Maize, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
