Basketball Game Preview: Woodlake Tigers vs. Corcoran Panthers

Woodlake is 0-10 against Corcoran since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Woodlake Tigers face off against the Corcoran Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Corcoran took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Woodlake, who comes in off a win.

Woodlake is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Alpaugh 58-23 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Corcoran ended up a good deal behind Strathmore on Wednesday and lost 42-23.

Woodlake will have to contain Natalie Luna as she made an impact in Corcoran's last game. She posted nine points and four steals. Luna is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Woodlake's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Corcoran, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-11.

Woodlake took a serious blow against Corcoran in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 60-12. Thankfully for Woodlake, Emilee Santos (who went 9 of 17 en route to 23 points and seven steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
