Soccer Game Preview: Jasper County vs. Putnam County

Jasper County is 0-9 against Putnam County since March of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Jasper County Hurricanes will host the Putnam County War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, Jasper County needed a bit of extra time to put away Towers. They blew past the Titans 6-3. Carson Clark was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Putnam County kept a clean sheet against Utopian Academy for the Arts on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Utopian Academy for the Arts. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the War Eagles.

Putnam County's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those five contests. As for Jasper County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
